ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) issued new guidelines for Eid ul Adha on Tuesday, urging people to follow the issued SOPs as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the country.
COVID cases increased in June, with officials fearing that the infections would spread further due to shopping and Eid ul Adha celebrations.
Eid ul Adha will be observed on July 10, and during this festival, animals are sacrificed, increasing human contact and the likelihood that the event will be a super spreader.
In light of this, the NCOC has issued new guidelines for the public to follow in cattle markets, Eid prayer congregations, and during animal slaughter.
